Summer Camp
In our 2-week intensive program, we work with Broadway show tunes, the scenes that lead into them, and lots of great choreography. Students learn new skills, have a good time, and gain confidence through our unique combination of technique, creativity, and imagination.
Our summer 2014 program includes 27 hours per week of Broadway jazz, contemporary, hip hop, acting, singing, costume design, choreography, and stage performance - and includes a showcase musical review.
Our Expert Faculty
Doree Clark - Broadway & Musical Theatre Jazz
Doree is Artistic Director of Stage Dor and The Don’t Quit Your Day Job Dancers. She has a BA in Dance Theater and an MS in Dance Therapy. Doree is a New York trained jazz performer and National Ballroom Champion with 25 years of experience teaching and mentoring children and teens. Two of her current students have recently been admitted to the prestigious San Francisco School of the Arts.
Jomar Tagatac - Acting & Performance, Hip Hop
Jomar has been a teaching artist since 2006 instructing students in "Creative Play" and teaching Hip Hop in the Bay area. He earned his B.A. in Theater from San Diego Stage University, and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) in San Francisco.

Student Performance is on Tuesday, July 22nd at 5 pm.
Ballet and Jazz shoes are required. Some shoes are available on loan from our costume department.

Shantala Davis - Jazz Style
Over the past 20 years, Shanti has studied with Marin Ballet, Dance Arts Studios, The Boston Conservatory, The American Musical and Dramatics Academy and Broadway Dance Center in NYC. She has also been a part of the Salsa, Lindy Hop, and West Coast Swing Community for nearly 10 years and continues to compete today. From her exposure to many forms of dance and technique, Shanti enjoys the challenge of finding new ways to blend styles into her own unique groove which she shares through her classes and choreography.
