We offer two studios for rent, both with sprung wood floors. In their natural state, our studios are used for dance classes, performance workshops, rehearsal space, and are great rooms for daytime meetings, seminars, and team-building events.

With the addition of state-of-the-art stage lights, black curtains and theatrical seating, Studio 1 is magically transformed into Sausalito's one and only black box performance space - a beautiful and intimate venue for dance performances, music concerts, cabaret shows, comedy nights, motivational events, and so much more.

With rental of either space, you will have access to many amenities (see below), and our huge, free parking lot will accommodate all of your needs! We also have an in-house costume shop with costumes available for rental.

STUDIO 1  "THE WIZ"
  • 2100 square feet (30 ft x 70 ft)
  • Capacity 40 moving - or up to100 seated with performers (maximum 150)
  • Sprung wood floors
  • 36 foot arched ceiling
  • Mirrored on 3 walls (black curtains can be used to cover mirrors)
  • Stationary barre on 2 walls
  • Sound system using CDs or PC/iPod plug-in
  • Headset microphone

Rental for classes, lessons & rehearsals @ $60 / hr
Rental for special use with blackout draping @ $75 / hr

  • Use of 24" round cafe tables
  • Use of padding folding chairs (up to 100)

Rental for Studio 1 in Theater layout with new build-out @ $1,500 per date
  • Labor for setting up 3 rows of risers with 100 seats + lights, curtains, draping
  • One 3-hour tech rehearsal
  • One performance per date
  • One sound board operator
  • One lighting operator
  • Discounts offered for multiple dates

Rental for Studio 1 in Theater layout with existing* build-out @ $75 per hour
  • 3-hour minimum
  • Optional: 1 lighting operator + 1 sound operator @ $40 per hour
  • Optional box office manager @ $15 per hour

*Studio 1 is set up four times per year for Stage Dor shows. If you're able to coordinate your dates 
when the theatre is already  up, savings are significant.

  • Capacity 12 moving - or up to 25 seated (with presenters)

Rent for classes, rehearsals, private lessons @ $25 / hr

  • 50% deposit due at time of booking - balance due before event begins
  • Proof of additional insured with Certificate of Insurance (see sidebar above)
  • $60 cleaning fee charged for all show and event usage
